Huh, so that's Mary's mother? I got the impression that Imad and Raheem were a couple and Mary's two dads. I should've known better than to make assumptions, but it doesn't change the quality of the story any

Raheem is Mary's adoptive father. Imad is a childhood friend of Raheem's and Alile (featured in this scene) is Imad's wife with whom he has two children. I actually didn't think that Raheem and Imad might've been interpreted as a couple and now I almost wish I'd thought of that back when I wrote the script! :D in any case, it's my job as the author to make these things clear to the reader so it's not on you if you interpreted it differently. It might be a cleared up a bit in the following pages after which you should know everything necessary about Raheem before the story moves on to the next stage. ^_^

I also had the first thought of that, then I realized, "No, that doesn't make sense with what we know" and was able to figure it out, for what it's worth.
