Awww, so idyllic, so heartwarming, so normal.....
Wait, is that a metaphorical falling shoe I see there on the horizon?

Nope, nuh-huh, never. Everything is always perfect forever now! ;)
Without spoiling, I think I can admit that we've reached a turning point where things are maybe as good as they're going to get for this little family.

I like how her hairstyle changes so much as she grows up, gives a real sense of time passing.
and why are those panels getting darker and smaller is something bad going to happen oh no D:

It was one of the few ways I feel I could convey the passing of time with my current ability. I actually considered not having the captions but kept them in because I felt it might've been difficult for the reader to tell her progressing she in these panels without them. :P
As for the darkening panels, don't worry. It's just a transition style into the next scene. Nothing bass gonna happen today or any day going forward. Nope, nothing, nada... ;)

She seemed happiest when her hair was shortest, so using that one panel as the entirety of my case, I propose that Mary keep her hair short to solve all of her problems.

Maybe she took this advice to heart considering the short hair she has at her current age? Or maybe the solution isn't the length of the hair, but the flowers? An in-depth investigation is needed!

I love the growth of our little Snowflake into the Mary we know she became shown.
The only thing we've yet to see is the loss of her innocence, and darn it, I know it's gonna happen but I don't want it to! >:I

Haha, thank you. To hear that you feel so involved in Mary's fate is the ultimate compliment from a reader. I realise it's kind of a slow build with a lot of focus on fleshing out characters, dialogue and setup. I'll say without spoiling that we are moving ever closer to drastic changes. As for what they are and how they come about, I won't spoil! But I do spy something on the horizon! ;)

Mary does consider these years of her life to be some of her best. Hopefully it lasts a while longer. ;)

It can't rain all the time! In fact, it's pretty sunny here in Kynthale, even if you are something of an outcast. As long as you've got a dad like Raheem. =)
