"A small dose o' the void a day keeps the end of existence at bay." catchy! depressing but catchy.

So the question is, if Mary is the Voidchild, what is Amir?

That's like asking where babies or Voidchildren come from. The answer will always be vague and awkward. =x

In truth, that's a a very good question. Also, to keep in mind that these are just the fundamentals. As explained by Amir.

Huh. That was a bit quicker than I expected. So what Mary was doing back in Kenya by destroying trees was the right thing to do all along. :)

Who knew.

There's lots of stuff to cover in this issue (without getting too exposition-y). No time to load around. ;)

As for what Mary was doing back when she was snapping trees in half, if we're talking about "Black Eyed Mary" is probably what Amir means by "tapping in too deep". I'll include skin tearing in that category too. =x

This would make a great poster, or cell phone wallpaper. Save the file.

Oh snap!! There it is.. That's freakin' epic! I had a vague little theory of what a "voidchild" was but is fascinating and rewarding seeing so much revealed in one splash like this. And while it's a big reveal it still leaves up questions like...what the heck IS the spirit of the void, and how many void childs are there? Are there something like...anti void childs xD

Yay! Glad you liked it! The nature of The Voidchild is a mystery that people seem to have taken to, but it was never meant to be the main draw of the story. Albeit one of the main conflicts. Mary’s role as a Voidchild though, is what we’ll be delving deeper into from here. :)

Hey thanks. I tried to cram a lot of exposition into a single page. Hopefully it reads well.

Oh, and thank you for subbing! I'm really excited to have you and hope you'll enjoy the rest of Voidchild! ^_^

Thanks! I’m still working out the kinks of how to represent, uhm, nothingness...

"the purpose to end all-"

D: D: D:

On the previous page though, he says-
"from which all creation sprung forth-"

So in a way, the void can create too. or, actually, the only thing which can truly create.

Perhaps he misunderstood everything and the void is in the very end not that bad.. ? Or at least not only bad, there's the destructive part but also the creating part. And perhaps that will be her role ..?

I have no idea of course but I like to speculate.

You’re not wrong. Amir was referring what comes before creation, according to our understanding of it. Which was “nothing”. The Void is “sort of” that concept materialised as a metaphysical space of its own.

But you are right in that The Void and creation might be related. I love to hear thoughts like this and promise that it’ll be explored further on. :)
