Aww yeah we’re airborne! Man I really want Mary to come out clean on this one, but Amir’s confidence is too radiant. I feel she is not in as much control as she wishes D:

Good point! I guess there's varying degrees and different types of control. Going black-eyed and losing control that way, or manipulative control. Aptly observed! ^_^

As long as Amir is smiling, I can't shake the feeling Mary is doing exactly what he wants. Even if she doesn't lose control in the fight, it still feels like he's got a plan.

Who can say? The guy thought pranking someone by snapping the neck of a fake baby was hilarious. ;)

I'm sure you're still in control of the situation. I mean, look at that smile! How could you lose control with that smile looking down on you?

I was always taught that a warm smile calms down any heated situation! Amir must be thinking the same thing!

How do you keep from loosing control if he keeps pushing your buttons.

Yoga maybe? Not sure there’s gonna be room for that though. :x

At least Mary realised that much. But there are probably other things she’s yet to realise. ;)

She's making another mistake. Coming straight up at him like that is a tactical error. First, she has gravity against her. If he drops something, gravity will make it dangerous to her without any further energy output from him. And second, it makes her an easier target, since she isn't dodging laterally.
She would have been better served by climbing at a different angle.
Putting Amir amongst the clouds like that was a nice touch. It emphasizes the concept of altitude. :)

That's a really good analysis (smarter than anything I thought of). It really does reflect her monologue well too. Losing control and being in control can be two very different things. And that may still be very relevant.
And thanks, I'm actually back to practicing how to make clouds again because I wasn't happy with my previous style. I prefer to do them by pencil than by brush. So you'll be seeing some different attempts in the coming pages. Maybe with some characters aptly placed in or around them. ;)
