Amir is probably grateful that anyone in the comments is giving him some credit. Lord knows that he's not getting much of it from Mary. I always enjoy your analytical approach to the characters. I'll also say that you've touched on an important aspect with Amir. =)

Ah Amir you mysterious clever lad you xD Like Delta said it does feel like he might actually be trying to help Mary (sometimes it's felt like that many times before), wonder where he's going with this!

Well, Amir did say they’re the same. So it stands to reason. Question is more how/where/when did he learn these moves. =x

I suppose embracing the void offers a few benefits. Though perhaps Mary can figure out how to do this without going dark?

Maybe, it might be as simple as “levelling up”. But there may also be other reasons why Amir has these additional capabilities. Something to explore down the road.
Though I guess it is an indication that he’s a few levels above Mary in the Void skill tree. ;)
