Marys expression and innocence on the last panel is just priceless! Wonder whos going to teach her what a date is ? xD

I’m utilising some of my hard-earned British insults in this page. I’m glad you’re enjoying them so far. This page is actually dedicated to the few members we’ve seen in earlier chapter, so they gotta share a page! :D
As for Mary’s reaction... we’ll, living six years in isolation is gonna come out in some ways and it’s one of those things she maybe couldn’t read about in her books. ;)

Mary has a lot to learn in transitioning from being on her own to being a part of something bigger. So many insults to learn, too!

It’s probably the largest building she’s been in and the most people she’s been around. Kynthale wasn’t just a tiny village or anything, but not a major city like Victoria. It’s probably also the most cussing she’s been around too! :D

Hah, I imagine yes and no. ;) I’m sure they’ll do their best to make her feel welcome, but it night be a bit overwhelming at first. And she’s never been part of, anything outside of her own little family with Raheem before this. It’ll take some adjusting.

Dammit, another reference that I don’t know what it is! I do get the jist of it though. Though they are no longer dating, who knows what hidden behind that animosity between Abe and Liz?
And maybe there’s a book Mary can read on the subject. Something like “modern society for former hermits”. ;)

I don’t think it’s unfair! I’m familiar with the comic, but not the quote. Now I got to google it and all of a sudden I’m +1 in my reference library. And it was both fun and adorable so thanks for showing it to me. ^_^

She’d understand the concept obviously, if described to her. But the terminology is new to her. So yup, she doesn’t know what it is along with a large quantity of pop cultural terminology and references. :)
