Alternatively, I'm sure if you tell Abraham you're trying to avoid the end of the world then he won't throw you in the slammer.

Mary doesn't seem as confident. Don't worry though. Her plan is fool-proof. Nothing ever goes wrong when you bend the truth and try to do everything yourself, especially in dire circumstances. =x

The void should back off, at least until Mary gets some new clothes. Can't fight the apocalypse without style.

Ohh man this is a dope page! But im biased I love introspective narration :). So Mary’s laying out the situation now and I would have to wholeheartedly agree with her assessment of Amir, as diabolically likable as he is ha!

And now she seems to be hiding the apparent nature of the void from Ab but I think id be hesitant to share a nuclear bomb like that too, I can’t imagine having to hold that in while you can literally feel it trying to claw out of you every moment ..hope this doesnt backfire for her D:

And finally, I like how Amir is just chillin obliviously picking his ear while she’s thinking all this lol!

Haha, I think being biased towards something as nice as introspective narration is a good thing. Glad you like it. I wanted a page to kinda summarize where we/she is. The goal now: "Find Amir and make him talk before The Void gets here". And keep a little, uhm, "white lie" until she does.

Mary's the suspicious sort of person. Her reasoning is her own, however one may feel about it. It's the path she's chosen to go down.

Also glad you picked up on Abe picking his ear. He managed to almost look a little dreamy there for a moment, but nope, then straigh to emptying his ear canals of wax. =D

Mary knows full well what can happen when people become scared of her (hometown burned to the ground - check). Best to keep a low profile and just get the job done before the scary Void gets here. =x

All this angst--it's like Peter Parker in drag. Raggedy drag. :)

The main flaw in her plan is that she can't trust anything Amir says....or does....or thinks....

On the brighter side, you really nailed the clouds, the swallows and the windblown leaves--great mood-setters.

And Amir as an empty mask, is absolutely KILLER!

Comparing my comic, in any way shape or form, to angsty spider-man is only going to curry favour with me. But I suspect you knew that. ;)

There may be a few more, uhm, “problems” with Mary’s reasoning here. But I’ll let the story do it’s own work showing you what those may be. But yes, depend on Amir for anything at your own peril is a good way of looking at it. Times are desperate I suppose. :x

Also glad you (and some readers on other mirrors) have noted the cloudy skies. Hopefully, I’ve finally found a way to draw clouds that suit me and the comic.
