Mary wants to get this all over and done with asap, in today's update of Voidchild.

Ohh man did you change the way you do your backgrounds!? It looks great (almost a little softer?) and compliments the characters so well :D
Looks like Mary just wants to get Amir as fast as possible and I can't blame here..probably not a good idea to mess around when you're a ticking time bomb and the "enemy of existence" XD. I just hope it turns out alright, her encounters with Amir haven't exactly been smooth sailing, but with a team the dynamic and terms of the game have changed :)

Well, it's not entirely new. But I might've refined it. Basically, I've just taken away the contours of the background stuff to, as you put it, make the characters stand out more. =)
Mary's of a one-track mind right now. And that may or may not be what certain parties want. Whether her getting help to chase after him is what he wanted is an entirely different story though. =x

Of course, they can't go after Amir right away! Mary has to start out giving supernatural traffic tickets before she can climb her way up to detective work!

Hah, yes Mary’s probably not used to having someone around who can see her when she stops to monologue to herself.
I don’t suspect Amir is afraid at the moment, more like drunk and indignant at that bartender (maybe we’ll find out?).

Aw shucks, that’s really nice of you to say. :) Still a long way to go and I don’t plan to stop drawing anytime soon! As for having it as a PDF... Hmm, that’s probably not too difficult. Maybe I’ll take care of that one day and make them available for download or something. Just need to set aside time to convert everything. :)
As for the story, with this interlude we are, in my super secret author mind, done with what I like to think of as “Act I” of Voidchild. I hope you’ll appreciate where it goes from here. :)

Ahaha I was wondering on the last page if Abe noticed Mary being so introspective. He couldn't see the flashbacks or visions of the void in the background, after all.

Stopping to monologue in her mind for several minutes might’ve worked when she was on her own but there’s gonna be someone around to notice from now on. :D

lol, another quote that I am simply unfamiliar with but that I appreciate nonetheless because you've pretty much nailed Mary's single-mindedness therein.
And I'm also sooo pleased that a reader picked up on how Mary was probably kinda just half-listening to Abe when he outlined what is probably the most important aspect of the job. =x
