Movian's not only a great employer, he's also a charmer! In today's update of Voidchild.

MAN! Love the atmosphere in this mansion scene, I don't know why but I got some dark Full Metal Alchemist vibes? It really is a stretch but it came to mind haha, really like the lighting and detail on the first panel as she walks through the halls.
Movian continues to prove he's a villain and gentleman!
"As you predicted" .. The scariest and most effective part of him imo is that he freakin' always adapts or expects what the heroine is going to do. Can this guy slip? I hope so XD

Well, I’m a enormous fan of FMA (Brotherhood and the manga) so it’s not impossible that it’s had a subtle and/or not so subtle influence on Voidchild. I’ve actually heard it mentioned before. Not something I’m deliberately trying to mimic but it’s probably in there just because I like it so much! :D
Movian can be a gentleman if he wants. But that would be for show. And probably for his own amusement. Or to achieve his goals, which is why he’s concerning himself with Mary at the moment. And he’s a sharp bloke too and probably knew that Mary was going to join up with the PIU before she did herself.

Hmm... so is there a rat inside the PIU? Though to be fair, if Movian's reading the same comic as all of us, I'm not surprised he predicted Mary joining them.
Also, I'm not sure how "charming" I'd find Movian here if I was in Celeste's place...

That’s probably a good way of thinking about it. If we could figure out that Mary was gonna join up with the PIU ahead of time, then Movian was probably three steps ahead of us. ;)
And I guess when I wrote charmer what I really mean to say was “unrepentant ruthless arsehole psychopath”. Damn autocorrect! :D

Movian’s people heal fast. They’ve got that True King’s Blessing to thank for that. Whatever that is.... ;)
And I wonder sometimes if it’s healthy or normal for an author to be scared of his own scary fictional villain...

Some interesting things on Movian's desk. Like that container of... whatever those creatures are. There's a lot to unpack here with his interior design choices.
Also, very cold response to Celeste. I didn't expect anything better from him though.

Only he loveliest of readers take note of such details as interior decoration. If that’s what it all really is. You’d almost think he doesn’t want people to come visit what with how spooky it all looks.
And Movians relationship to his PA may be more complicated (and simple at the same time) than this scene let’s on. Doesn’t take away from him being a proper arse though...

Movian’s goals are a bit more obscured than his means so far. But anyone planning to use the power of The Void for anything is surely at least a little bit mad. And bad as he was to Celeste, one has to wonder what he has in store for Mary...

If it’s urgent for her, it doesn’t seem to be a reciprocated feeling on Movian’s part. But heir relation is a... tricky one. More on that in the future!
