Dang! Did not expect this, the emotions here are intense and the last two panels are communicating so much. The scars and (tattoos?) make me feel sorry for this girl, and I don't know her haha.
Wonder what's up with who I'm recklessly assuming to be her father? Looks possessed O_O
Also the first panel gives me some awesome classic horror movie composition!

You're right in that he's the dad (also going for "worst father of the year"?) and that there's something going on with him that's taken this beyond a "normal" domestic situation. You'll note that he's got similar markings on his arm. Bit more on that later.
And thanks, I was really pleased with how that first panel came out. =)

Poor kid :( The matching arm tattoos(?) are strange... probably have to do with the instructions that the man is talking about. The weapon he's holding might play a role too, since it doesn't look like a knife you'd find in an average house.

The, let’s call them markings for now, and the other stuff is def connected. But it’s also important to point out that outside of that (and the bulges and blood on dad’s face), this does seem like an average kind of household doesn’t it? Maybe someone got in over their head? :x

Teeth are still there (though looking at the close-up in retrospect it kinda does look like gums though), but the inside of his head has taken a pounding from whatever he's most likely done to himself.

The girl looks a bit like Mary when she was much younger, probably coincidental but it should give Mary even more drive to wreck this bastard

You're probably pretty spot on with what dad's been up to. Before you is just one of the reasons why they require a license to practice the paranormal arts in Victoria. Amateurs need not apply…
And thank you, I won't lie and say this scene came out this way without a hitch. I had some difficulties with it, for a variety of reasons that also spill into the next page. But I'm pretty happy with it (and the next one).
I almost forgot to add that gleam too! I only realized it needed something extra when I was finishing up the page. =D

I was going to say.. maybe it's not really his fault that he does such cruel things..? maybe he was just good guy, a loving father who fell victim to some sort of curse or got possessed or something..? But then I saw the latest page DDD:

He was a self serving coward and a dick for certain. Even before what he did here went haywire. But sick as it may be he had a motive for what he did which will also be touched upon later. You might be able to infer details from the latest page and onwards.
This is all very much a prelude to things to come though. Hopefully it will all make sense once we get where we need to be. Got some ground to cover before then. :)
