The expressions here are so great! And the sequential panels make it tense and cinematic. Now those markings on her arms almost look like scissors at times to me? Probably not haha but speaking of sharp objects this guy's about to gauge his daughters eyes out?
Two pages in and you're not making the best impression here bud lol (but looks like two pages might be all he gets :D)...Oh snap I hope that's who I think it is! even if it's not time for a smackdown methinks :D

Thank you! I find drawing repeat panels super hard! The last two from the previous page and these two were a pain! Glad it came out well! ^_^
The symbols, hmm, we’ll their shape are maybe only somewhat relevant to the plot. But they’re def meant to be different kinds of symbols, some of them are just cuts though. Weird how they’re on both him and her though. :x
As for Victoria’s resident worst father, we’ll see how he makes out in the next page. Not knowing who you might think the, uhm, “newcomer” might be I hope not to disappoint. But I suspect it’s a bit hard to predict. ^_^

It either takes a lot of black magic or clenching to get eyes to pop with blood like that!

I see what that pointy thing is for now. Good for poking eyes :x And "on fire" certainly is one way to describe everything going on with his head. I don't know what that is behind him in the final panel, but I'll root for it for now as long as it saves the kid.

Not sure it was intended for eye gouging, but he sure seems set on it. Then again his head is on fire... And hopefully, whatever else is in the room with them has benign intentions. Find out next week!

And thank you, I actually kinda felt like I had trouble getting the lighting interesting this page. So I’m glad people are finding it interesting!
