I can't imagine it's easy to know what world-destroying potential feels like when she's so used to destruction in general.

She may have more than one! And perhaps Mary can draw some relief from knowing what to call that pushy Void inside her now after so long. Even though when she found out it kinda stunk!

Oh man I love this super reflective moment with these cinematic shots =D. And I hope that mouse will stick around lol.
It is interesting how we haven't heard much from Amir yet, given his...strong interest in finding Mary LOL. Makes you think he's either preoccupied with something else, or scheming something big, neither can be good!
Oh yeah knowing how much time would be good indeed...it's interesting how she doesn't feel too different, that might be even scarier, apocolypse coming out of nowhere instead of otherworldly level of dread preceding it D:. But hopefully this calm can also mean good (or semi good?) things coming in the future!

Amir might be scheming. But he might also just be enjoying having her chase him and keeping away for reals. It doesn't matter to him in the end. The way he sees it, they'll end up on the other end of existence together regardless. =x
And it's true, Mary's statement here could be seen as reassuring, or not. Might lull her into a false sense of security. Or give her some room to work on that, uhm, other thing that might be headed her way. O_o

lol, we'll we did get to see what happened when he was drunk and surly last issue. I don't imagine he's very pleasant during recovery either...

Obviously the mouse is going to be afraid of much larger humans, but it fleeing is still a good visual metaphor for how Mary feels about herself

I agree. Mary doesn't have high thoughts of her person. Let's hope that can change somehow.
And that she'll finally get to pet one of those mice one day...
