“Does it have mice in it?”

“What? Of course not.”

“Then no deal!!”

Dang that picture! Brings back a fantastic and tragic chap D:

Its so cool seeing more of Mary’s reflection here! It sucks that she wants some peace but she’s been thrown into all of this, at the very least a hilarious coworker calls to lighten the mood...orrrr to bring calamitous news LOL

Perhaps the one material thing she gives two hoots about I imagine. ;_;

And perhaps her delightful new partner is calling right in time with a distraction? ;)

The distraction has arrived! I'm guessing Abraham is calling about the... upsetting... scene we saw earlier.

Ah, good! Something to take her mind away from dwelling on the horrors of death and destruction. Something where the only rational response is probably MORE death and destruction....

A bit like fighting fire with petrol. O.o

Hah! If only you were there to bring this to Mary's attention. In her mind, she probably (and understandably so) thinks that list she rattled off in her head is as bad as it gets. But horrors, death and destruction comes in oh so many forms, shapes and sizes.

And rationality may be a tricky subject in what's coming up. I'll be very interested in getting reader's takes on where this chapter goes. ^_^

Well I missed a few days and decided to binge the entire thing. And quite a wild ride that was! I have plenty of queries but the best part of a story of this nature is the deliberate and rewarding unraveling. Perhaps we'll be seeing soon what Amir and co are scheming.

Yay! So glad you’re all caught up!

There is def more to unpack with Amir, The Void and Mary’s date as the catalyst for the end of the world. And most key players are in place for it. I said “most” because the development of the story may also happen in ways of parallel storytelling now too.

There is, as you may have noticed another local mystery brewing... ;)

The sad. Again D:

Yes, no wonder she could need a break. But I fear there will not really be any.

Let’s call what’s coming a... distraction, rather than a “break”. ;)
