Well, portals do seem more commonplace in Victoria than other cities. But hell is such a subjective term isn’t it. ;)
Whatever the case might be, Abe and Mary may have finally picked up the beginnings of a trail in this mystery...

Uggh, it’s always even worse when abusers pretend to be sanctuaries first, demonic magic or not. I hope Mary atomizes whoever’s responsible.

I’ve many-a-times, for reasons like the ones you’ve outlined above, want to have the ability to blink people out of existence. It’s probably for the best that people with not as much self-control as Mary (like myself) don’t have that ability tbough.
And luckily, this care home seems to have at least been shut down for now. Question is why?

(No, it was not what I had in mind, I was speculating it was somehow related to Mary ;))

I’ll stifle myself from saying too much but I will confirm that this is the first times Charlotte has been mentioned in the comic.

I must admit I didn't think about anything in particular, it was just in the general sense, Mary had a pretty ...interesting past, I guessed there might be a connection to that somehow, but without any idea what exactly that could have been. That she was missing? Or maybe that her parents who abandoned her had been caught? Something else? I couldn't tell, in the very end it was a knee jerk reaction, this *must* have something to do with our hero. Somehow ;)

Haha, no worries. I was really just curious. Though I'll say that listening to your reasoning is very interesting too. Helps me learn what parts of the story might've stuck with readers. So regardless, thanks for that. =)

Yes, this obvious suspect. He does have his finger dipped in a myriad of things. It remains to see if this is one of them.

I'm really liking Abe and Mary's deliberate and realistic studying for this case!
And Wow what a tragic story for her to say the least, also can't wait to see how this ties into everything :)

Charlotte's fate is a sad one for sure but you're asking the right questions too. As in how does this all fit together. Some enlightement is coming up in the next page. =)
